Code of Conduct Procedures
Any Practitioner that does not arrive on time, communicate late arrival, dressed inappropriately, doesn’t provide the necessary equipment, etc for the scheduled Service/s can be reported by emailing metamorphosismassagellc@gmail.com. Please provide any and all details that you can. The owner will respond to your report within 1-2 business days to ask any needed questions and provide any appropriate resolution to the incident.
To show our Clients’ respect the Practitioner will obtain the verbal consent for the pectoralis muscles, gluteal muscles, inner thigh muscles, scalp and face then document that consent or lack thereof in the notes and SOAP notes for future referencing.
Accidental contact is any form of fingers grazing an off limit area, secondary contact, or loss of draping. While secondary contact may be unavoidable depending on the techniques being used; this is to be avoided as much as possible, especially fingers grazing an off limit area. Any Accidental Contact incident that is not secondary contact due to a technique that the Client has consented to (i.e. stretching technique,) must be followed by the Practitioner: first, stepping away from the massage table or chair with hands raised; second, apologize for the accidental contact explaining that it was not intentional or a sexual act; and lastly, offer to end the Service at a prorated amount if the Client no longer feels safe. If the client expresses that they no longer want to proceed with the Service, the Practitioner is to step out of the room to allow the client to get off the table in privacy. Once the Client is dressed, the Practitioner is required to clean up and leave as quickly as possible. The Owner will bill the Client for the prorated amount at a later date. All Accidental Contact will be documented and investigated at Metamorphosis Massage LLC. Please report the Accidental Contact incident to metamorphosismassagellc@gmail.com to aid in the investigation. Any intentional “Accidental Contact” of that nature is considered a sexual act with the corresponding Procedure to be applied.
Any Practitioner that solicits or provides any sexual activity must be reported to the Owner immediately by text/call at (816) 518-4047. Please also send an email to metamorphosismassagellc@gmail.com with all details that can be provided for the investigation. The Practitioner in question will be investigated and unable to work at Metamorphosis Massage LLC until the investigation is concluded. No matter the results of the investigation the Client will never be booked with that Practitioner again. If results of investigation prove misconduct; it will lead to termination, potential loss of license, and/or legal action. The Client can also call the non-emergency police department that applies to their county to press charges and report the Practitioner to the Missouri Board of Therapeutic Massage at (573) 522-6277.
Any Client that cannot do the digital paperwork and/or intake form must inform the Practitioner in advance so that physical paperwork can be provided. The physical paperwork still needs to be finished before the massage. If the Client refuses to fill out the paperwork/intake form, the Practitioner will refuse Service and either rescheduled for a later date to give them time to finish the paperwork/intake form or will be blocked from receiving any Service from Metamorphosis Massage LLC.
When a client expresses that a pressure or technique is too uncomfortable or not in line with their health goals, the Practitioner will then adjust according to the client’s expressed wishes within the confines of “do no harm.” The Practitioner reserves the right to refuse a technique or pressure level that will put the client’s health and well being in danger which will be communicated to the Client. The Practitioner will not be held responsible for any undesired experience when the Client did not communicate their needs or stated that the pressure/technique was fine.
Any Client that implies any sexual behavior will be subject to a three strikes policy. The sexual implication will be followed by the Practitioner giving a verbal warning that a comment like that is inappropriate and subject to further action. The incident will be documented in the Client’s SOAP Notes and account. If there is a second incident, the Practitioner will give another verbal warning that the Client now has said two inappropriate sexual comments and the session will be ended immediately. The Client will still owe the full amount of the Service and the incident will be documented in the Client’s account and SOAP Notes. A third and final inappropriate sexual comment will lead to an end of Service that the Client will still be required to pay the full amount of. The Client then will be blocked from receiving future Services from Metamorphosis Massage LLC, and receive written notification of the block. This can occur in one session or over the course of years.
Any Client that solicits, harasses, or assaults any Practitioner will cause the session to immediately be ended and the Practitioner will call the police department to secure their safety. The Client will still owe the full amount of the Service scheduled. Metamorphosis Massage LLC and the Practitioner will file a report with the local Police. Charges and legal action may follow. The Client will be blocked from receiving future services with Metamorphosis Massage LLC and receive written notification of this block.
Any Client or Practitioner that adds inappropriate content to Metamorphosis Massage LLC online resources and social media will be blocked from being able to add anything in the future with written notification sent to communicate the inappropriate action that has cost them the ability to post on Metamorphosis Massage LLC online resources and social media.
For our Clients with disabilities Metamorphosis Massage LLC is passionate about making the massage experience as accessible as possible. Our intake forms are digital and should be accessible on both Apple VoiceOver and Jaws. If there are complications, please notify the Practitioner and the paperwork/intake form will be read and filled out by the Practitioner. Large print paperwork/intake forms are also available. Clients who are deaf or hard of hearing will have extra time to work with the Practitioner on cues to communicate during the massage and take more time before the massage to go over their goals and expectations in detail.
Pandemic Policy:
Due to Covid and its variants Metamorphosis Massage LLC is enacting a simple Pandemic Policy to accompany the Infectious Disease Preparedness Plan.

All Practitioners must:
Respect every home that they enter and only use the space that has been designated by the Client for the Service/s.
Provide all the equipment, PPE, and sanitation supplies needed for the Service/s.
Arrive at the location by the appointment time.
Clean up all equipment before packing it up.

All Clients must:
Be responsible for the space that will be used for the Service/s by keeping the space clean and clear for the protection of the Practitioner and to reduce any risk of property damage.
Communicate the areas of their home that will be used for the Service/s.
Communicate with their Practitioner if they will be late.
Follow the Code of Conduct.
In-Home Procedure
To respect the Client’s home the Practitioner must only use the room/s that the Client has signalled will be used for the Service and for the Practitioner to prepare for the Service as applicable, not touch anything of the client’s that is not applicable to the Service, and be careful to make sure to avoid damage to Client’s property.
If either the Practitioner or Client will be late, both are required to text, call or email. (Don’t text and drive.)
See Code of Conduct Procedure for In-Home client or practitioner sexual/illegal/violent misconduct.
When a Client expresses that a pressure or technique is too uncomfortable or not in line with their health goals, the Practitioner will then adjust according to the client’s expressed wishes within the confines of “doing no harm.” The Practitioner reserves the right to refuse a technique or pressure level that will put the client’s health and well being in danger which will be communicated to the Client. The Practitioner will not be held responsible for any undesired experience when the Client did not communicate their needs or stated that the pressure/technique was fine.
Cancellation Policy and Procedure
Appointment/s can be cancelled through the Practitioner (by text, email, or phone call) or the booking service without repercussions anytime up to 24 hours before the scheduled appointment time.
Late cancellations are any cancellations made through the Practitioner (by text, email or call) or the booking service within 24 hours of the scheduled appointment time. A late cancellation fee is half of the value of the booked Service/s and will be billed to be paid at a later date. Exceptions for late cancellation fees are cancellations due to medical reasons, Covid exposure risk, family emergency, dangerous weather conditions, or work calling you in unexpectedly.
No Call No Show Cancellations are those where the Practitioners is at the service location and the Client does not come for their appointment, call in advance or answer any text/call after the Practitioner has waited 10 minutes. If there is no response from the Client/s 15 minutes into the scheduled Service/s time, the Practitioner can leave the location thereby canceling the Service/s. The Client will be responsible for the Late Cancellation Fee to be billed at a later date. A No Call No Show for In-Home will also have the In-Home service fee added to the Late Cancellation Fee. Three consecutive No Call No Shows will result in the Client being blocked from future bookings and will receive written notification of this change with supporting documentation.
Exception Policy and Procedure:
Due to the flexible nature of this business, there will be times that the Practitioner can go above and beyond to accommodate a Client and their scheduling or financial needs. However, this is not always possible. Exceptions are on a case by case basis, and the Practitioner has the right to refuse to accommodate when unable to provide it without doing harm to themselves either physically or financially. This includes reducing the price, providing free extra/s, giving full time for Late Arrival, or choosing to work on a day/time that the Practitioner is usually off.
Minor Policy and Procedure
It is safe for minors to receive massage and something that Metamorphosis Massage LLC is certified to do. Minors are still required to have filled out intake form and paperwork with or through their Parent/Guardian. All minors age 1 to 14 years old must have their Parent/Guardian in the room during the session. All Minors 15 to 17 years old must have their Parent/Guardian in the building. The minor has all the same rights under Metamorphosis Massage LLC as any other Client and follows the same procedures under the Code of Conduct. Parents/Guardians can report on the Minor’s behalf with any misconduct using the same Procedures.
